Pulling Tin Crew Trip #1 Fish Trap Resort

Well the Pulling Tin travel season has kicked off at Fish Trap Lake Resort in Cushing, MN (http://www.sceniclodging.com/fish_trap/fish_trap.htm). The family Tara, Joey, Jace, and myself set out on May 23rd, 2008 for the long Memorial Day weekend holiday. The RV season is so much fun for the family and I. We just love the road trips and the whole family camping experience.

The resort we stayed at was new one for the Pulling Tin family. This resort had just about everything. I said just about everything, but not including the weather this time around. Oh and also the pool was closed since the weather did not cooperate and warm up for the painters to paint....Global Warming hey? The resort featured a nice camp store, huge newly constructed playground (thank you Rainbow), walking trails through the woods, huge lake and nice launch area for boats.
The one of the most memorable things was Jace's love of eating chocolate ice cream.

As you can tell he really enjoyed it. Also the a funny happened while he was eating the ice cream. Tara mentioned to him that he should start licking on the the other side because it was falling, so Jace took this literally and moved from one side of the bike trailer to the other. That caused us all to laugh really hard. Joey also got to ride in Grandpa's boat and loved every minute of it! She really enjoyed going around the Fish Trap Lake.

I think Jace Enjoyed himself also

So until next Pulling Tin adventure take care and we will be getting ready for the next trip! We are always looking for Pulling Tin friends to join us. let us know if you are interested in getting into RV travels!

I am back in the thought provoking saddle!

Well it has been an interesting last couple months with the project work that I have been doing. The biggest question is if you honest feedback based on fact not hard feelings or irrational behavior thinking how does one provide that feedback in the "town square" so others can have the facts to make decisions.

I think too many times we have real things to day about people, issues, companies we work for, friends of friends, etc. and are too afraid to tell these honest stories for fear of "burning a bridge", "hurting feelings", and or "jeopardizing your own public opinion poll", but then you find out that a friendship is ruined, a job placement goes horribly wrong, and or you don't get a job.

I often think if there is all this willingness of companies wanting reviews of their products and services, how about reviews about how they treat employees, but instead of going down the retribution path, maybe, just maybe read, absorb, adapt, and recalibrate. Image the loyalty, productivity, and "banging down the doors to get in" would happen. I know I would work for a place like this!

I this blog went all over the place, but I think the general idea is here for you to think and communicate. I guess the blog held true this time, but the random thoughts kept happening in the post.
