Pulling Tin Crew Trip #5 Two Harbors, MN.

The Pulling Tin Crew took trip number five of the RV season to beautiful north shore country of Two Harbors and Duluth, MN. This has become a annual thing for us now. We decided to stay outside of Duluth this and hit Burlington Bay Campground in Two Harbors, MN. This was by far the most majestic of the campsites we have stayed in. We were overlooking the grandest of lakes, Lake Superior.

We decided to hit all the local attractions this time around. We first stopped at "Goofberry" Falls. No that is not a typo. Jace couldn't say his s's too well and started calling it "Goofberry" Falls. So in Pulling Tin fashion we rolled with it and started calling it that ourselves. The kids had an absolute blast. A traveling tip for those taking kids to this great place. It is only water and cloths dry. At first we tried to go across the rocks, but soon found out let them go in hiking boots and socks all. Joey soon found out the rocks were a little slippery and found her self sitting in the water. Oh well it was a nice hot day and when in "Goofberry".....

It was then onto Split Rock Lighthouse. Tara and I really enjoyed this place so rich in history. We both love reading and seeing old photos of what life was like back in the day. We both did not realize how many ship wrecks were along this coast throughout the years. We toured the lighthouse and the lighthouse keepers house. Pretty nice for a one man show in the beginning.

We also spent a lot of time in Duluth. the first night we went for dinner and just hung out in Canal Park walking on the Aerial Lift Bridge, throwing rocks at the shore, and just missing out getting mini-donuts at shop we love. The next day in Duluth was jam packed with acitvities. We went out on the Vista King and toured the Duluth Superior Harbor. It was a great tour we very informative crew. We got to see three huge ships getting filled. To quote Tiny E "Man that thing is huge"...... The night was capped off by all us getting a chance to see a huge ore ship go through the canal. You have no idea how huge those things are until you are about 10 feet away in this canal. Intersting fact the habor os 26 feet deep and they fill each ship until they have 25' 6" are below the water. Yes that is right 6" clearance from the bottom!

So I bet you are wondering where the shots of the huge ship and habor boat trip hey....always remember your charger. Spare battery or another camera comes in handy! I guess you learn the hard way, but I do have video check it out.

So until the next trip for the Pulling Tin Crew, keep the safety chains on and the sway control bar tight! Oh an avoid construction zones with concrete barriers......fiberglass RV's lose every time........
